My Approach
I want to help you better understand the stories that shape your relationships.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and relationship-focused. I believe that many of the challenges we experience in relationships are shaped by patterns that develop over time—within ourselves, our families, and our important relationships.
I tailor therapy to each person and relationship, drawing primarily from Family Systems and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
In our work together, we’ll create space to slow down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We'll spend time exploring deep emotions, helping you understand how your family history, attachment experiences, and relationships have shaped the way you respond
to others.

Hi, I'm Abi.
I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin- Baylor (Belton, TX) with my Masters in Counseling, concentration in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, in May of 2025. My family moved to North Carolina and I took some time off to welcome our second baby into the world!
I began working on my associate license in March of 2026 under the supervision of Aaron Rice, MA, LMFT-S. I'm still currently under supervision until I complete my hours to become full licensed.
Some fun facts about me:
-
I'm a follower of Jesus and especially love working with clients who are also Christians!
-
I have two young kids and absolutely adore being a mom, and I love connecting with other moms.
-
I grew up as a missionary kid living in Latin America for most of my childhood and adolescence.
